Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Only the French version of this document is legally binding. The English and German versions are provided for information purposes only.

This policy describes how ECKENSTEIN & CO AG processes personal data collected via the site eckenstein.shop, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), in force in Switzerland since 1 September 2023.

1. Data controller

ECKENSTEIN & CO AG
Offices at 1422 Grandson — Warehouse at 1350 Orbe, Switzerland
info@eckensteinag.ch079 214 71 07

2. Data collected

When placing an order via boutique.html / commande.html, or making a request via the contrat-direct.html form, we only collect the data you enter yourself: name / company, email, phone, delivery address if applicable, chosen delivery method, and the content of your message or order.

This information is sent directly from the page to our form-processing provider Formspree (Formspree, Inc., United States), which immediately forwards it to us by email at info@eckensteinag.ch. It is not stored in a database on the site. Your shopping cart (selected products and quantities) is temporarily stored in your device's browser (local storage, localStorage) so it can be found again from one page to another; it is only sent to a server when the order is confirmed, and is never used for tracking or advertising purposes.

3. Purposes of processing

Your data is used exclusively to: process your order or request, issue the corresponding invoice, arrange delivery, and answer your questions. No data is used for marketing purposes or profiling without your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures necessary to process your order, as well as on our legitimate interest in responding to your contact requests.

5. Retention period

Data related to an order or invoice is kept for the period required by Swiss accounting and tax obligations (in principle 10 years, Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations). Correspondence related to a simple information request with no commercial follow-up is kept only as long as needed to process the request, then deleted.

6. Recipients, processors and transfer abroad

Your data is neither sold nor shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It may be disclosed, to the extent strictly necessary: to Formspree, Inc. (United States), our technical form-processing provider; to our carriers, to arrange delivery; to our accountant, for invoicing and bookkeeping; to our hosting provider, for the technical operation of the site. As some of these providers are based in the United States, data may be processed outside Switzerland; these providers offer contractual safeguards aligned with European standards (GDPR). For any questions on this matter, contact us at the address given in point 1.

7. Cookies and local storage

This site does not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and no third-party audience-measurement tool. The only technical mechanism used is the browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember the contents of your cart; it is strictly necessary for the site to function, stays on your device and is never transmitted. No prior consent is therefore required for its use.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and does not store any order data in a local database on the site. We take reasonable organisational measures to protect the confidentiality of the emails and documents you send us, as well as data passing through our provider Formspree.

9. Your rights

In accordance with the nFADP, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to your personal data, as well as the right to request a copy of it. To exercise these rights, write to us at info@eckensteinag.ch specifying your request; we may ask you to prove your identity before acting on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), the competent supervisory authority in Switzerland.

Requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular due to their repetitive nature, may be refused or subject to a reasonable administrative fee, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes to this policy

ECKENSTEIN & CO AG may update this privacy policy, in particular in the event of changes to the site or to applicable legislation. The version published on eckenstein.shop is authoritative.
